Omalanga Safaris was founded by Gunter and Reinhild Schwalm and built up with a lot of passion.
Omalanga has focused on both hunting and photo safaris. To this day we can proudly offer you a wide range of services from both areas.
The camp was rebuilt and enlarged for the first time.
We were able to expand our hunting concessions from four to seven.
The hunting camps available to us have been increased from two to three. This, together with the new hunting concessions, offers you a wide range of Namibian diversity in terms of land and wildlife.
We were able to send our old Landcruisers into retirement. They have been replaced by modern Landcruisers, which bring us safely through the Namibian landscape to this day.
We have set up a souvenir shop on Omalanga. Here you will find your perfect memento of your unforgettable Namibia experience.
We have rebuilt our entrance gate to receive and welcome you to our farm.
We were able to present our services for the first time at the fair in Dallas, America. To this day, we look forward to greeting you personally at trade fairs in America, Germany and Austria.
We have switched our power supply from gray electricity to solar energy. There are two solar systems on our farm that provide us with electricity.
In our culture boma we bring you closer to the Bushman culture of Namibia. While you can enjoy a very special cultural evening, this helps the Bushmen maintain their traditional culture.
We have renewed our logo. The impala, which is called Omalanga in Owambo, remains the main component in the new logo. For us it stands for beauty, strength and speed.
We were able to add a new hunting license for big game to our hunting grounds.
With the death of Gunter Schwalm not only a beloved husband, father and friend of ours went, but also the heart of Omalanga. Omalanga is his legacy, which we want to and will continue to carry on with great respect and dignity.
Even during this difficult situation for everyone, we do our best to welcome you to our farm. We are a registered camp to stay during this pandemic. Hopefully we can welcome you again in the near future under the usual circumstances.
